Patient Registration

What is Patient Registration?

Patient Registrars are the personnel who meet every patient who comes through LMH. Registrars gather all the patient information that is needed to process their visit from demographics and employer information to the reason for their visit, and of course health insurance.  They verify it and collect their copayments.

Patients come in for or through the emergency room, radiology dept, pre-admission testing, physical therapy, same-day surgical and other outpatient procedures.  All of these patients are greeted by the patient registration staff.

First impressions are a key part of our patient’s experience. Our patient registrars take pride in their work; greet every patient with courtesy and respect. They understand the importance of getting patients processed quickly and onto their appointment or treatment.

Registration Representatives service several areas of the hospital including:

Central Registration

Central Registration is where you would register for all Emergency visits, Outpatient procedures including Physical Therapy, admission to the hospital for medical/surgical reasons, Obstetrics, and Same Day Surgery.

Pre-admission testing

Pre-admission testing is where you would come in prior to a scheduled surgical procedure to complete required paperwork.

Radiology

Radiology is where you would come in for all imaging procedures. Contact us at 585-395-6048.

Centralized Scheduling

Centralized scheduling is a new addition to the facility to accommodate patients who need to schedule appointments for radiology, pre-admission testing procedures, or to answer questions regarding those appointments. You may contact us at 585-395-6048.

Patient Financial Assistance:

Lakeside Memorial Hospital is committed to providing "Personal Trusted Care" to every person(s) in our community, regardless of their ability to pay. It is this philosophy that helps guide Lakeside as a not-for-profit health care system.

If you do not have health insurance, or think you may not be able to pay in full for your care provided by Lakeside Memorial Hospital, we can help. Lakeside provides financial assistance to patients based on their income, assets, and needs. In addition, we may be able to help you obtain free or low-cost health insurance, or work with you to establish a manageable payment plan. Together, we will determine how you can best arrange to pay for your care.

We are required to seek full payment for services provided to patients, so it is very important you let us know if you will have trouble paying your bill. If we are unaware of your financial difficulty, we may turn unpaid bills over to a collection agency, which could affect your credit status.

For more information on Lakeside Memorial Hospital's Financial Assistance Program, please contact our billing office at 395-6095 ext.4336, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
