Dr. Erik Peterson joined Lakeside Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Services team in 2008. He currently serves as the Assistant Medical Director of the Emergency Department. Dr. Peterson earned his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed a Family Medicine residency program at the University of Buffalo, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Peterson then served four years on active duty with the United States Army. After moving back to Western New York, Dr. Peterson was the Director of the Emergency Department at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, New York for nine years. Most recently he worked in Unity Hospital’s Emergency Center for five years prior to joining Lakeside.

Dr. McClung obtained his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. Following this he completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester New York. Dr. McClung is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. He has co-authored research in mild traumatic brain injury but now fully devotes his time to patient care. Prior to joining Lakeside Health System in 2008, Dr. McClung practiced emergency medicine at Unity Hospital in Rochester.

Dr. Timothy Hagy joined the Emergency Services team at Lakeside Memorial Hospital in 1989. He is a native of New York State and received his medical degree from the State University of New York in Brooklyn. Dr. Hagy completed Residency training in Internal Medicine at the University Hospital at Syracuse and Residency training in Radiology at Brown University Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. He is a certified instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.

In addition to his work at Lakeside, Dr. Hagy and his wife are the busy parents of three children and reside in Spencerport.

Dr. Evans comes to Lakeside from Saint Anthony's Community Hospital in Warwick, New York. He has years of experience providing medical care to adults and children who need immediate treatment of acute and chronic illnesses and injuries. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed both his internship and residency training at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine.

Abby McCarthy is a Physician Assistant who joins us here at Lakeside after over 6 years in practice. As a graduate with honors from Rochester Institute of Technology Physician Assistant Program in 2002, Abby has worked in Emergency Medicine since 2003, and before that specialized in outpatient cardiology and echocardiographic imaging. Last year she completed the Applachian Trail, a foot path extending over 2100 miles from Georgia to Maine.She joined us in December and is proud of the services that Lakeside provides.

After graduating from Jefferson Community College (1997) she worked as a nurse at Lewis County General Hospital for 2 years first as a Medical Surgical Nurse and then as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse. She was also a certified Hospice Volunteer in her home town of Lowville, NY.

In 1999, Angela moved to the Brockport area and began her career at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. Angela has held a variety of positions at LMH including, ICU Staff Nurse, Medical-Surgical Staff Nurse, per-diem Administrative Nursing Supervisor, PICC Nurse, Assistant Coordinator of Stroke Center, and Clinical Case Manager.

In May of 2005, Angela graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.

In March of 2007, Angela was promoted to the title of Director of Nursing for Critical Care Services, overseeing the day to day operations of the ED and ICU. In December of 2007, Angela became the Stroke Center Coordinator assuring that LMH meets all of the requirements to remain a NYS Designated Stroke Center. In December of 2009, Angela was also given the title of Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. Most recently Angela Graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a Masters in Health Administration (May 2009) and received the Distinguished Leadership Award for her class.

Angela has dedicated her career thus far to providing high quality care in a community hospital setting.

Angela lives in Holley with her husband Ron

Dr. Davidoff attended Medical School at St. George’s University in Grenada, WI. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ where he was Chief Resident. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine and Disaster Medicine. Dr. Davidoff has been practicing Emergency Medicine for nearly 20 years. Dr. Davidoff is very involved in EMS and Air Medicine. He is currently the Finger Lakes Region Medical Advisory Committee Medical Director, Medical Director for over a dozen EMS and Fire Agencies in Monroe, Wayne and Ontario counties and the Chief Medical Director for Mercy Flight Central, Inc. He is an interior firefighter and EMS Captain for his local Fire Department. Dr. Davidoff is a Governor with the American Academy of Disaster Medicine. He sits on the NYS Emergency Medical Advisory Committee and represents the NYS Fire Districts Association on the NYS EMS Council. He is currently the President of the Air Medical Physicians Association and a member of the National Association of EMS Physicians. He lectures on topics pertaining to EMS and Disaster Medicine throughout the US and internationally.
